The Ignition – Kindling of a flame.
In this context, I envisioned the flame as a metaphor for the passion for orchestral music. The piece is designed to be bold, energetic, rhythmically engaging, and heroic—qualities befitting a fanfare. My initial inspiration was to compose a work that would ignite this passion for orchestral music within the listener.
I intended this piece to serve as a compelling opener or closer for a concert program.
