This piece was composed as a result of a scholarship I received from Förderverein für Kunst, Medien und Forschung e.V. The artistic director of the association, Saule Tatubaeva, asked me to write a small piece for Piano Trio that is packed with positive energy and excitement. Even though the title may suggest the complete opposite of something positive, it is simply a play of words since the piece starts somewhat dark and gloomy but over the course of its duration it shifts its colors completely, turning more and more towards the positivity I wanted to achieve. In fact, in the later stages we hear a dancelike sequence in 7/8 meter where Violin and Cello play the main melody consecutively while the Piano is the driving engine below.
