The Film- and Broadway music of the early 50’s to late 60’s by composers such as Jule Styne, Richard Williams, Richard Rodgers or the work of the incredible Sherman Brothers have always been a big inspiration for me as a composer.

Music from that era was so pure in its essence. Full of life, joy, emotion, wit and a complexity that always deeply resonated with my understanding of music. Overture to Nothing is inspired by the works of this generation and is my nod to their art and the important heritage they left behind for all of us.
