The Ignition – Kindling of a flame.
In this context I imagined the flame to be the passion for orchestral music. Bold, energetic, rhythmically engaging and heroic - anything a fanfare would need. My initial motivation for this piece was to write something that would ignite this flaming passion for orchestral music in the listener.
I envisioned this piece to be a worthy opening or closing piece of a concert program.
